Assistant Controller
CPA REQUIRED
Interface with corporate accounting and human capital management department personnel to ensure compliance with accounting, payroll and personnel policies, procedures, requirements and guidelines
Interface with subsidiary management and staff to evaluate, research, analyze and resolve accounting and accounting-related issues and questions
Prepare and\or oversee the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and periodic accounting and financial information including, but not limited to, variance reports, budgets, financial statements and forecasts
Prepare and\or oversee preparation of reports to government and regulatory agencies
Develop and direct the preparation of analyses and schedules for and liaison with internal and external auditors (including DCAA auditors)
Evaluate and, as necessary, recommend changes to accounting and accounting-related policies, procedures, practices and methods and implement and\or oversee implementation of same upon management approval
Act as the coordinator of activities of the Contracting, Capital Projects and
Operations groups with respect to accounting and financial related matters
Evaluate on a on-going basis the consistent application of accounting and internal control standards and its subsidiaries
Coordinate the annual capital and O&M budget processes
Act as initial subject matter expert for all accounting and accounting-related questions affecting our subsidiaries
Provide administrative oversight for the day-to-day operations of the Irvine office including payroll support, training and facilities management
Develop and provide training on accounting and financial related topics to personnel at subsidiary operations
Perform and\or direct the performance of special financial and budgeting studies as required or requested
