Your role and what you’ll do*:

Title: Sr.Financial Analyst/ Sr. Cost Accountant

Reports to: Controller/VP

FLSA Status: Exempt

This position will be exposed to a variety of areas and challenges with the Warehouse unit and the Accounting unit as a whole.  This person will work very closely with the controller and will be responsible for preparing budgets; various cost analysis and rate studies.  The individual will review all operational procedures and issues and recommend changes, drive process improvements, design work flows and streamline processes on a continual basis to creative a better efficiency in all aspects of the company.

1. Prepare financial statement and reports
2. Maintain general ledger with appropriate journal entries (JE)
3. Reconcile GL and sub ledgers on all balance sheet accounts
4. Perform month end book closing with accrual JE and adjusting entries
5. Monitor, Review, investigate and correct financial errors
6. Maintain payroll journals
7. Prepare various analysis reports on sales, inventory, budget and operation performance
8. Maintain fixed assets journals
9. Manage chart of accounts
10. Review and monitor the compliance of internal controls based on company’s policy and procedure.
11. Oversee whole AP process
12. Manage and monitor cash and bank transaction
13. Prepare bank covenant reports
14. Evaluate and review accounting staffs’ performance and duties
15. Control and maintain the petty cash
16. Prepare state and local tax return
17. Assist external auditors on financial statements audit and bank audit
18. Generate various analysis reports requested by upper level management 

What we’re looking for:

·         Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in accounting/ finance.  Masters Degree preferred.

·         7 years minimum work experience with at least 3 years experience in a supervisory role.

·         Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting with emphasis on job costing.

·         Excellent PC skills, Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word

·         Proficiency with various computer hardware, software and accounting systems that are used in the warehouse/transportation/logistics industry. 

·         Excellent analytical and writing skills required

·         Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions.
